I bought this bike around 4 years ago as a non-runner. I spent about a year in stripping it down and rebuilding it as a café racer. Work included:
• Power coated frame
• New tyres
• New side panels and bespoke seat unit
• Refurbished carburettor, brake calliper
• New air filter, sprocket, chain, rubber suspension bushes, fuel tap
• New exhaust, downpipes, headlight, rear light drop handlebars, front mudguard, instruments, rear sets, battery
• Modified footrest
• Professionally painted tank, panels, mudguard and seat unit
No expense was spared (well over £4, 000) in building the bike as this is something I had wanted to do for many years. The engine is easy to start, oil-tight and runs well. I’m really pleased with the way it looks and handles.
This bike is registered as an historic vehicle and so is tax and MOT free. would suit anyone looking for a ready-to-ride café racer. It has had 7 previous owners and the old odometer is showing 25, 200 miles
The only reason for selling it is to make way for my next restoration project(s).
