LOTUS ELAN SERIES 2 YELLOW 1966 IMMACULATE ORIGINAL RESTORED CAR LOW MILES/ OWNERS**** SOLD**** SOLD**
Just out of long term storage of a Lotus and car collection. Having previously been restored by Paul Matty Sports Cars and V H Cars. Fully restored a number of years ago to exacting standards to keep the car as original as possible with fine detailing.
Engine, gearbox is fully rebuilt and engine has been to QED 360 specification. Power just above big valve specification, approximately 130 bhp coupled with the close ratio gearbox the car is quick and smooth.
Many original features including wood rim steering wheel, centre horn push, teardrop gear knob, correct chrome bezelled instruments and original correct 'elephant' skin interior trim, tonneau, hood cant rails and option of knock-on steel wheels with SE chrome embellishers (I can supply bolt-on wheels with hub caps if required.
The vehicle has much history and a feature by Autocar magazine in a group test 'The Great Lotuses' highlighting the Esprit, the Elise and the Elan by well known author and road tester, Andrew Frankel.
The car is undergoing a full service and check over for MOT.
The car is low mileage and low ownership.
