Peter Collins was the 1976 World Champion and rode for the Belle Vue Aces all his career
He won another nine World Championships with team and pair events
This 1973 Jawa was a bike he rode in period before using the Weslake four-valve to great success
The bike was also raced by his younger brother Les at the start of his career
Les restored the bike in the early 1990s and it was the top prize in a raffle at his testimonial in 1995 in Edinburgh
Peter bought the bike back off the raffle winners in 2013 and restored it to its current condition
A great piece of British Speedway history and an important part of the Collins family speedway history
Complete with some period photos and a letter of authenticity from Peter Collins
Not run for some time so will require some recommissioning before use
