Restored 1928 AJS Near Concours condition. Only recently completed a thorough restoration with much professional involvement by many well known vintage suppliers and all listed to show the extensive work done. Details of work done include: Oil pump overhaul; Magneto rebuild; Frame straightened by Maidstone Motorliner; New fork spindles; New valves & springs; Fasteners remade in stainless; All paintwork blasted/ undercoated/ refinished; New fuel tank including new oil handpump; New toolboxes; New exhaust and silencer in stainless; Engine and all moving parts/ bearing checked and adjusted; Clutch restored. It is now "as new condition" mechanically and as like the day it came from the factory as you could wish for. It is also the much sought after and rare 500cc model side by side valve K9 engine with mechanical and manual oil pumps. Effective drum brakes and 3 speed gearbox ( with very desirable and expensive conversion to constant mesh) with smooth hand change. Rides and runs beautifully.
