The Chevron B23 was the final version of the highly successful B19/ 21/ 23 design concept. One of the last B23s built, chassis number B23-73-23 spent most of its life in Italy and France, and much of this time in storage, before being repatriated by Chevron Heritage and totally rebuilt by marque specialists Red Rose Racing.
This stunning example has continuous history. It was originally supplied to Italian Achille Marzi, who competed in the Monza 1000km and European Championship rounds at Misano and Mugello in 1974. Remaining unused for several years chassis 23 was then sold to another Italian Zani, who only drove the car in one hillclimb in 1980. The Chevron was subsequently owned by two French collectors, neither of whom competed in it. Discovered and rescued by Chevron Heritage this lightly raced example is unused since a recent a ground up restoration by former Chevron factory engineers at Red Rose Racing.
This extensive rebuild has included:
- original chassis frame stripped, shotblasted, checked and reskinned
- new bodywork
- new suspension
- rebuilt FG gearbox
- new brakes
- new radiator
- new tanks, extinguisher and seatbelt will be fitted at point of sale.
Available fitted with a zero miles Craig Beck injected BDG, this immaculate B23 could alternatively be supplied as a rolling chassis.
A great opportunity to acquire a specialist rebuilt and highly competitive Chevron. The car is currently at Red Rose so that they can fit a new owner's choice of safety equipment and install the BDG. Viewings by appointment only please.
