Very original G. C. Smiths bodied Bedford TK. Truck was built in 1973 and then bodied by Smiths and first registered in 1974.
I was never intending to sell this and was going to restore it as follows; all of the timber on the truck is in very poor condition and will need replacing, what I was planning on doing was to replace it with a much more modern and lightweight insulated system that was clad on the outside so as to retain the original look. I wanted the vehicle as a tiny house and not for horses, so the emphasis would have been on an eco-build that would follow the same classic lines as the Smiths body and reuse the fibreglass and aluminium trim. The cab is excellent and has never been welded, the chassis is solid, the truck runs but its not been on the road for many years. 82000 miles. Downrated to 7. 5 tonne. Full new v5 in my name. It is a 6 cylinder 330 diesel, 4 speed. Approx 24 ft long by 7ft it would provide great living accommodation when rebuilt. Whitchurch HR9 Herefordshire
