An opportunity to acquire a very genuine, matching numbers, scooter with a great history. First registered in September 1968, it was then donated to the Coventry Museum of Road Transport in October 1979 where is sat on a ‘mods ‘n rockers’ display for the next 40 years having not been outside or turned a wheel. When the museum restructured their exhibits, the scooter was acquired and sympathetically restored to running/ riding condition (new tyres, tubes, pipes, wiring etc.) helped by Target Scooters.
MOT’d in April 2022 (expires 11. 04. 23) having covered just 612 miles in 44 years !
Comes complete with the old MOT certificate, the old tax disc and proof of provenance from Curatorial Manager at the museum, including photo as part of display.
Whilst the Starstream may not be the most iconic Lambretta and this isn’t a concours restoration, it is however a sympathetic restoration of a very original scooter with great history. A real talking point.
