For sale, or exchange why not with other exceptional classic bike, this rare original 1959 BSA Spitfire Scrambler.
The speciality of this machine was desert racing and fast off-roading.
The engine was equipped with high compression pistons (9:1), a 357 camshaft (the same as for the Super Rocket), and from 1958 the cylinder head was equipped with larger valves. The carburettor was an AMAL 389/ 68 carburettor of 1'1/ 8 diameter (28. 57mm), and a pair of raised exhaust pipes without mufflers were fitted. The gearbox was standard, with a tighter ratio Scrambler model available as an option (# 104 was originally fitted with one of this special SC gearbox) . The front and rear wheels are original Gold Star Catalina.
The bike is in an exceptional concourse condition and can be seen and tried near Avignon .
