Description
A very ambitious sports car, well advanced for its time. In Pottstown, Pennsylvania, the Chadwick Engineering Works was founded by a young engineer by the name of Lee Sherman Chadwick. The factory remained in business from 1904-1917 and was known for the production of high-quality cars.
The standard Chadwick roadster was capable of speeds of 107 miles an hour. Based on the roadster, the preparers at the time chose those features for the construction of this record vehicle.
Record car with blind wheels, friction shock absorbers, cantilever springs. Aluminium block. All the sports accessories available in its time. Leather- trimmed seats. Bodywork inspired by the aeronautics of its period. The whole car was constructed with numerous features aimed at enhancing performance to the maximum while at the same time having a graceful appearance. A unique car, a rare treat for collectors.
