Information about the 850CSi:
The BMW 850 CSi was launched in 1992 as the new top model of the E31 series. It could only be ordered with the sporty 6-speed manual transmission. The legendary 12-cylinder engine was thoroughly revised at M GmbH and capacity increased to 5. 6 litre. The power was up by 80 hp and the torque by a whopping 100 Nm.
The engine now proudly bears the lettering "powered by M".
Externally, the 850 CSi was recognizable by the four enlarged and round exhaust tailpipes. Connoisseurs will also see the newly designed front and rear aprons and the exterior mirrors in the striking M design.
Only around 1, 500 examples of the top model 850 CSi left the factory by the end of 1996, making it one of the rarest and by far the most coveted version today. In 1996, the top model had a basic price of over 190, 000 DM and thus cost around 30, 000 DM more than the "standard" 12-cylinder model.
The vehicle offered here is one of the last 77 examples built and delivered in 1996.
The mileage and its excellent condition are documented by invoices and an expert opinion.
