One owner since 2004, restored over 10 years and then used on many UK and continental tours. It still looks fabulous but not so fabulous that you're worried about using it. It has been serviced & maintained to create a dependable and attractive sports saloon capable of keeping up with modern cruising speeds.
It has a 2969cc 6 cyl engine With 140 bhp at 4500 rpm and a 4 speed pre selector gearbox. This 1933 Talbot 105 was delivered in chassis form to London coachbuilders Vanden Plas who built to special order this sporting “Ulster” saloon. Nine of this body type were constructed and ALR 136 is one of only three remaining.
There is a large history file which shows lots of invoices for engine, transmission, suspension and axle restoration. The interior has also been restored and a heater included, to ensure a warm and cosy environment. There are not many fast and attractive, vintage sporting saloons on the market today.
