EXTERIOR
This fantastic 911 presents beautifully in timeless Seal Grey, which looks particularly smart alongside the factory optional 18-inch Carrera alloy wheels. The metallic paintwork remains in lovely condition with a great depth of shine having just been treated to a full machine polish by our in-house detailer. On closer inspection there are no blisters or signs of bubbling to any of the wheel arches or roof trims, and at the front end there are only a handful of minor chips. She’s nice and straight along both sides and the Xenon headlights are clear and damage-free. There are no unsightly scuffs or cracks to either of the bumpers, and even finer details such as the badges and black plastics trims still appear in very fine order.

INTERIOR
The Metropol Blue upholstery is a nice change from the more common black interiors that so many 996s were specified with. Sitting inside this particular example is a real treat given that it looks to have seen only half the mileage. Both front seats are in excellent shine-free condition with only a small amount of wear on the driver’s bolsters to speak of. The complementing Metropol dash, centre console, and door cards also present well showing just a few minor marks and scratches, namely around the driver’s door pull and above the central air vents. The steering wheel still retains a nice texture to the leather and the carpets are well protected in the footwells by a set of tailored Porsche overmats in black. Another nice touch is the original Porsche head unit that remains in place having never been swapped for an aftermarket unit, and of course it sounds great through the factory spec’d Bose sound system.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Reading through the accompanying history file it’s clear this one has always been well maintained with services having been carried out almost every year. There are 18 stamps in the service booklet and most of them are from Porsche main agents. The last 3 services were all done by Porsche specialists, and the car has only very recently returned from having the IMS bearing upgraded along with a new rear main seal (RMS) and a new clutch; this work was completed in February 2023 by Bristol’s leading Porsche specialist, Porsche Mode.

WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The 911 sits on stunning 5-spoke Carrera alloy wheels, all in perfect unmarked condition having just returned from a full refurbishment at Lepsons. They are shod in Bridgestone tyres all round with 5mm of tread left at the front and 6mm at the rear. The brakes have also been checked and remain in fine operational condition, effortlessly stopping the car quickly and in a straight line. Alongside the recent service work in February this year the rear lower coffin arms were replaced and four-wheel alignment was also carried out.

HISTORY FILE
This fantastic manual C2 was supplied new by HR Owen Porsche in July 2003; it has now driven 110, 986 miles in the hands of six owners. Within the History File the lucky new owner will be presented with the original Porsche document wallet and all owner’s manuals, the fully stamped service booklet with 18 Porsche/ specialist entries (detailed below), a raft of MOT certificates and invoices, spare keys, a fresh HPI report, and the V5C showing only 5 former keepers.
