We are very pleased to offer a super rare 1991 Rover Mini Cooper finished in British racing green with a contrasting white roof and bonnet stripes. Carb fed Coopers are very sought after especially in standard factory spec. Rover relaunched the Cooper after a long waited 20 year gap in 1990 and they were an instant sales success. Very quickly after the relaunch the carb was replaced for a fuel injection system making these early cars the last true carb fed Coopers. Many have been modified which detracts from the experience that these fantastic Minis can offer, they are real drivers machines that really excel on the twisty stuff with bags of power and excellent handling. This Cooper has only covered 50k in 32 years with just four previous owners. It has a large service history folder which also includes every MOT certificate. It also has its original handbooks and service book.
On the road this Cooper drives as it should do and is great fun. The 1275 engine is both smooth and responsive and offers easy to use power, this is a very easy Mini to drive. It has a been tuned beautifully and benefits from a stainless steel exhaust that gives this Cooper the correct burble. The gearbox is precise and the handling is fantastic thanks to four recent tyres. Driving this Cooper quickly becomes addictive as it pulls so well through the gears and you cant help but smile.
The interior is all original with very well presented Crayon trim seats, three clock dash with green dials, auxiliary oil pressure gauge and Cooper leather steering wheel. The carpets, seats and roof liner are all very well preserved and inside this Mini has a nice low mileage feel. No frills just all that you need.
The Mini has a very solid shell and is body coloured inside all four wheel arches and underneath. The floor pans are also body coloured. It has the correct vented sills and untouched boot floor . The subframes are in very good condition, this Mini benefits from being cared for throughout its life. The paintwork is very well presented and belies its 32 year vintage. This is a good looking Mini Cooper.
The Mini is fully serviced, checked and driven many times by myself as I love driving it and it has a full MOT so is ready to go and be driven and enjoyed.
