Vehicle history:
The BMW 328 Roadsters are BMW racing icons. Significant race victories in 1937 at the Eifelrennen on the Nürburgring or at the Mille Miglia in 1938 meant the first major successes for the Bavarian brand. The 328 dominated the club racing scene until the 1950s, which contributed greatly to its myth. Only a few of the roadsters, rare in themselves, remain today.
This example has been back in regular use in the USA since the mid-1980s. The engine was rebuilt and upgraded by, among others, well-known specialist Shawn Thomas. Several documents attest to rebuilding and maintenance over the years. This BMW is ready to go and a welcome guest at any event. The spats installed on the rear fenders make the open sports car look very elegant.
