This beautiful NSU OSL 351 with attractive chrome plated petrol tank and open valve springs is a nicely mellowed older restoration, still retaining its original type plate (with matching engine and frame numbers) and its old Austrian registration document as well.
Following its comprehensive restoration, the NSU has been ridden on several vintage rallies and tours in Austria.
Fitted with a 350 cc overhead valve engine, girder front forks, four speed foot controlled gearbox, Graetzin carburettor and Bosch electric lighting system. Further equipments include Bosch electric horn (fitted under the left side of the petrol tank), 120 kmh speedometer with drive, toolboxes with leather covers and a battery carrier.
A notable feauture of this NSU OSL is its sporty exhaust system with upswept pipes, providing a highly characteristic appearance for this well-designed sports tourer. Various European manufacturers in the '30-s also offered the upswept exhaust system as an extra option, being a fairly popular choice in between their customers.
