Leaving the factory as a LWB drop side pick-up, the rear section is now stripped down to the chassis, and ready for whatever project a new owner chooses.
Classified as a T30, it has a maximum limit of 3, 000 kg.
Over an eighteen month period, the van has been subjected to an £18, 750 refresh. The detailed invoices reveal that most of that budget was taken up reviving the double cab bodywork and repainting it in its original shade of Volkswagen ‘grauweiss’ (grey white), plus the renewal of mechanical and cosmetic items.
New brake discs and pads front and rear, wheel bearings, rear calipers and shock absorbers, plus both the OS and NS driveshafts have been renewed.
16 inch steel wheels with like-new Michelin tyres.
The 1. 9 litre TDi has seen regular maintenance and has been serviced, including a cambelt change and new glow plugs, in the last 2, 000 miles or so.
