1949 Series B Rapide
After many years completely dismantled the bike was rebuilt completely in 2010. The engine was rebuilt using original and correct parts wherever possible i. e. original pistons but new rings etc. Magneto rebuilt by APL magnetos, speedometer by David Woods. Wheels rebuild with painted/ lined rims by Malcolm Simmonds, new tyres/ tubes. Miller dynamo regulated by AO electronic unit in Miller cartridge box. Machine starts easily and rides well. All matching numbers, matched casings. Has only covered a few hundred miles since rebuild due to the age of the owner. Last ridden August 2017 – see front cover of Mph823 2017.
