Only 237 of these beautiful cars were ever produced and only 87 of those were, as ours is, UK supplied RHD examples making this Silver Dawn one of the rarest Rolls-Royce's of the last 30 years
Finished in Wildberry with Sandstone hides, top roll in Wildberry as are the carpets and over-rugs (in the boot as well ! ), knee roll in Sandstone rear quarter badges and a badge bar (badges shown are for photography only are not included in the sale) ours is just perfect and she purrs along in an equally smashing fashion
The veneers in the latter SZ's in the Rolls-Royce version are as good as you'll ever find - rich burr walnut with box wood in-lays and straight grain to the tops of the doors - the factory really let their wood workers loose
In fact the interior is a place one can easily spend hours on end ignoring completely any outside annoyance like traffic or weather
For she does drive as magnificently as the spirit of ecstasy on the radiator shell suggests she should with seamless steering and soft suspension absorbing anything the over-rugs miss
Her engine too is as sweet as they come, starting on the button and not making a fuss when asked to idle in London traffic as well as whooshing along any motorway with aplomb - an most unusual touch whilst driving is the miniature rev counter fitted to the middle of the centre console, quite fun to watch the engine really is not ever stressed
Having sat in the collection of an avid SZ chassis series enthusiasts she has been very well cared for with no fewer than 22 stamps in her service book and all books present as well as all three keys, small and large tools
She is entirely original and has never been poorly repaired or otherwise messed around with, hence she does wear an ever so slight patina on her paint
Overall she is a super car and a rare Rolls-Royce that is on the button and ready to be enjoyed
