We are delighted to present for sale this Land Rover® Series 2a, which is finished in rare to see Limestone colour scheme, complete with Limestone wheels and sand canvas.
Externally – all the features one would hope to see are present – vintage number plates, wing top mounted mirrors, bonnet mounted spare, rear grab handles and rear mud flaps. A recent canvas completes the look, free wheeling hubs are fitted to aid economy and a towbar and electrics is fitted to allow towing. Cross climate tyres are fitted to give the best compromise between on & off road performance. It is great to see that the bodywork is also a good quality spray finish, which is not a given at this price point. We think all these items combined gives a really handsome looking truck – and we hope you agree.
On the inside, there are three deluxe seats to the front, along with deluxe matting to the footwells. A heater is fitted with front demist, which is very handy for the winter months & to prevent icing up. Twin individual wiper motors still survive, which is great to see. Door cards are fitted give a premium feel and additional sound deadening. The rear houses a pair of bench seats to allow seating for seven occupants including the driver, with a load mat to the floor area to protect against scratches or damage.
Out on the road, this Series 2 delivers a “no frills” pleasing period drive – with the cross climate tyres and free wheeling hubs aiding economy and improving the driving experience over standard. The rare (and striking) colour scheme turns heads when out on the road and garners many waves and smiles.
In summary, if you are looking for a Series 2a which can carry the whole family in authentic vintage style, whilst also benefitting from classic insurance and MOT & Tax exemption, then this could be well worth considering.
