The Nissan Skyline will be forever etched in the sands of time as one of the most iconic Japanese cars ever produced. The R34 generation is one of the most popular, thanks to an excellent motorsport heritage and of course the F.&F. franchise resulting in one of the fastest climbing investment cars currently available, heightened now that the R34 is becoming legal to import and own in the USA as it reaches its key 25 years of age.
This GTT, single turbo, rear wheel drive example was first registered in Japan in July of 1999 so will be legal to export to the states within the next 12 months, which is likely to automatically increase its value. It was imported by Torque-GT in March of 2015 and has only had two UK owners. It has been with its current owner since 2018 and has been developed as a fast road car with occasional track use. As a result, the car has been very well maintained as well as many top-quality parts being added to ensure it handles as well as it goes. The vendor recollects that the car had covered around 80, 000 kms (49, 709 miles) when imported before it was converted to miles; this would put the car at around 65, 000 miles in total.
The Nissan RB25 DET is a 6-cylinder, turbo engine that is well known for offering lots of potential power whilst remaining reliable. The power of this engine has been vastly increased; internal changes include Tomei Type B Poncams, Cosworth headgasket and ARP studs. 1000cc injectors are fitted, combined with a Garrett G30-660 roller bearing turbo. Supporting modifications also include Walbro fuel pump, 6-Boost top mount manifold, RB build throttle body, plenum, fuel rail and 3” stainless exhaust system. The whole setup runs on a Link G4 ECU with two maps, one set for 500bhp and the other for 573bhp. Cooling is assisted by a large FMIC, alloy radiator and Mocul oil cooler.
Of course, running all that power requires handling and braking upgrades as well, where no expense has been spared. Helping put the power down is an extreme organic clutch kit, Cube short shift kit, custom prop shaft and 1. 5-way KAZ LSD with full poly bush kit and Whiteline anti-roll bars. BC coilovers and Cusco strut brace finish off the list of handling changes aside from the very grippy Yokohama AO52 tyres that wrap the Enkei wheels. K sport 356mm front brake setup and R33 GTR rear setup offer the stopping power. The listed modifications and no-expense-spared maintenance mean this car drives very well on road and track with no issues to report.
Externally the car is in stunning condition with a recent front end respray to eradicate any stone chips. It features factory option body kit, Xenon headlights, electric folding mirrors, air conditioning and rare option sunroof. Additions include custom fibreglass bonnet for weight loss and cooling as well as clear front and side indicators for a more up-to-date look. Much of the interior was removed previously to cavity wax any internal bodywork to ensure it is well protected. The underside of the car remains in excellent order. The interior is very well presented and features Recaro SP4 seats sat on Bride seat rails and a well-hidden, but quite expensive, Pioneer sound system with DVD head unit.
The sale includes a current V5C document, history including receipts from renowned South-West Skyline specialist Bells Auto Services, who carried out the top mount turbo conversion just over 12 months ago to the tune of £8, 500 which of course included fresh mapping. History also includes some original Nissan booklets, import paperwork as well as a spare key and alarm fob. All in all, this is a well-presented example of the R34 with phenomenal performance that is ready to be cherished and enjoyed by its new owner.
Estimate: £36, 000 - 40, 000
