What a cracking little drivers car!
We purchased this little MG last week from the custodian of the last 48 years. The former owner purchased the car in 1975 from the original keeper meaning this car is just 2 owners from new.
The history file of this car spans back to when it was a year old with MOT's, service documents and even recordings of each tank of fuel are within the supporting documentation. In the mid 1990's it was decided that more performance was requiredmeaning that the engine and gearbox were removed and the engine was sent to Oselli who then in turn built one of their infamous 1330cc type A race engines. Then engine when reunited with the car was then accompanied by a T5 5 speed gearbox and other sort after improvements such as; uprated front disc brakes, braided brake hoses, front anti roll bar, telescopic dampers all around, Kenlowe cooling fan, electric tachograph & Luminitionetc. There are photos within the history file of this process of upgrading the car too. For added security a fuel pump cut out switch was also added at a latter date.
Since work was completed, the car has covered just 6000 miles and can still be regarded as being mechanically "spot on" having just been serviced and MOT'd upon arrival with us. It is not suffering from any rust in the usual places on these cars but is ready for paint work if you are looking to buy a show winning car.
Although this car is not asthetically perfect, it is fantastic to drive; responsive, and reliable.
