We love R129's here and this is an example we have supplied before and were delighted to get her back! This is a 1999 Mercedes-Benz SL500 finished in Aquamarine Blue with Helios Beige Leather interior and showing 68, 000 miles on the clock. SHe comes with some nice options and has the Hard and Soft Tops and is ready for immediate use this summer!
The Mercedes-Benz 500SL was a variant of the R129 SL-Class that was introduced for the 1990 model year. The 500 SL was initially powered by Mercedes' M119 5. 0L V8 engine, although in 1998, this 322hp unit was replaced by the M113 engine (302hp). In 1993, Mercedes changed their naming conventions across all models, moving the model letters (SL) before the engine displacement (500), resulting in the 500SL becoming the SL500. Production of the R129 500SL lasted until 2002, although the model series would continue life in the next generation of SL as the R230 Mercedes-Benz SL500.
This beautiful car has had 7 Owners and has an MOT until April 2024 with No Advisories. She is HPI Clear and drives well, in fact, this is my daily driver at the moment so the mileage will creep up. The car was sold new in Japan but with Delivery to the UK on the options List, and was imported immedately back to the UK. Not only are SL500's becoming rarer, but we've never seen one in these amazing colours Metallic Aquarmarine Blue with Helios Beige Leather. The car is in extremely nice conditon both inside and out and both hard and soft tops work well. There were some great options specified including Heated Front Seats, Cup Holders, Xenon Headlamps, 17" Light Alloy Wheels, Bose Sound System with CD Changer, The car had a full service in May 2021 with minimal miles covered since then, and is ready for the summer!
