Mit dem Porsche 911 Carrera T kommt 2018 wieder eine auf das Wesentliche beschränkte Elfer-Version auf den Markt. Aus Weniger wurde mehr gemacht: weniger Technik, weniger Ausstattung, mehr Fahrspaß. Allerdings mit Turbo statt Saugmotor. Mit dem Kürzel „T“, das für „Touring“ steht, besinnt sich Porsche zudem seiner Tradition. Die verbesserten Fahrleistungen sind teilweise auch auf das reduzierte Gewicht zurückzuführen. Die Ausstattung des 911 Carrera T ist durchweg auf Sportlichkeit und Leichtbau getrimmt: Die Heckscheibe und die Fondseitenscheiben bestehen aus Leichtbauglas, die Türtafeln haben Öffnerschlaufen. Die Dämmung ist maximal reduziert. Auf die optionale Rücksitzanlage wird verzichtet. Das Ergebnis: Der Zweisitzer hat ein Leergewicht von 1. 425 Kilogramm mit einem Leistungsgewicht von 3, 85 kg/ PS.
