Only 123 DB5 convertibles were made between 1963 and 1965. GYU46C was originally purchased on 19th March 1965 from H. W. Motors by F. F. Shirts (London) LTD. Acquired by its last owner in 2010, GYU46C was used regularly for 18 months, visiting the Goodwood Revival, many trips to the beach at Burton Bradstock and even a holiday to Bordeaux before the decision was made for a full body off restoration.
The DB5 was finally finished in time for the 2013 Aston Martin centenary celebrations, and has since attended 2 Goodwood Revivals and won best car in show at the Bristol Classic Car Show in 2015.
