Purchased by the last owner in 2012. He then set about a comprehensive restoration programme along with fitting a rebuilt 3. 8 engine and an overdrive.
Car was repainted in the original colour of British Racing Green. Various sections of flooring were replaced along with the front jacking points. 4 new door bottoms were fitted.
It was completely reupholstered at a cost of €6, 129. All the interior wood was also refurbished.
The bright work was rechromed and new bonnet chromes fitted. An appropriate 3. 8 bonnet badge was fitted
The replacement engine was fully rebuilt with the block resleeved and parts fitted included pistons, rings, bearings, waterpump, timing chain, tensioners, oil pump, pipe work and all new gaskets etc. Exhaust manifolds were replace. The radiator was recorded and an electic fan fitted.
A reconditioned overdrive unit was fitted along with a new modified drive shaft to suit. An electric switch on the dash was fitted to operate the overdrive.
Coopercraft brakes were fitted all round along with Goodridge hoses. The brake servo was replaced. The suspension was polybushed and new torque arms fitted in the rear
Front subframe mounts were replaced,
The SU carbs were rebuilt
A stainless exhaust system is fitted
other work included washer bottle, front seat brakes, modern stereo, door mirrors, electronic ignition, fuel pump, various body seals and rubbers, high torque starter,
Car has the original glass with the shamrock etchings as fitted to Irish assembled cars.
Comes with an original owners manual along with the steel small tool box which retains most of the original contents.
