For the 1989 Rallye Sanremo, Lancia introduced the 16V variant of the Integrale in order to increase their dominant performance in the World Rally Championship. Painted in the now iconic Rosso Martini colours, this livery was only used on this occasion in the World Rally Championship. After five days of competition, Biasion went on to win the event which in return wrapped up both the drivers and manufacturers championship in front of their home crowd.
This very car was built by Miki Biasion during 2019 to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of his second World Rally Championship. Using a 16V Group A Integrale as a base, the car was completely restored in an identical fashion to how the original car started the Rallye Sanremo. Upon completion of the restoration, the car was unveiled at that year's RallyLegend where Biasion and Co Driver Tiziano Siviero replicated their podium celebrations exactly 30 years to the day they lifted the crown.
More recently the car has been used by Biasion for the inaugural Isle of Wight Speed Trials and has been displayed at Salon Prive, Rally Meeting, Padova Auto e Epoca D'epoca and Rallyday. issued with a Motorsport UK Sprint logbook, the car is eligible for Rally Legend, Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Eifel Rallye Festival and many other events.
