This is a very rare car . One of only a handful made
Built 40 years ago, this is a properly constructed roadster with a steel body, and feels like it when you drive it.
This low mileage example was the pride and joy of an eclectic car collector for many years. Regularly seen at shows in the South East.
Correctly registered as an Eagle, with historic status, free Tax and No MOT requirements
Owing to the similarities between this example and many of those built by Clenet, it seems likely that it was constructed by a former employee of that company, which was common, as there are a number of known variations using Clenet basis.
The car was formerly California registered as 'DEB N R', until 1991. Then purchased by a Japanese collector and was displayed in a museum there for a number of years, before arriving in the UK.
These origins also link the car to Clenet, as they were built in Santa Barbara, California.
Constructed using a Ford Mustang chassis, Ford 9" rear axle and rear suspension
Powered by a Chevrolet small block 4. 7-litre V8 and Auto GM350 Gearbox
Front suspension , Brakes and Power Steering are from a Jaguar XJ-S.
