Descripción

Built alongside the famous 100S EVV 106 with utter obsession to detail down to the last rivet, this 100S replica is one of few which can be called a toolroom copy or replica in the truest sense of the word. Built using a 1954 Austin Healey 100 BN1 donor car, this 100S toolroom copy is FIA registered and truly sensational to drive. Built to a true gentleman racer specification where it is both very at home on the road or circuit. Just 3000 miles have been covered since completion in 2011.

Three world renowned Austin Healey 100S specialists from around the world and as far as Australia providing input into the rebuild of this car, a lot of care was taken to ensure maximum dimensional accuracy and unique 100S detail was captured in many instances provided by new old stock original S parts. Just 50 original production cars were made with their values ranging from £600, 000 to £1m+ today. This car was built by a true enthusiast without much concern for cost – instead the true pursuit of original detail and driving feel.

Stand out original 100S features include but are not limited to:

Correct Aluminium riveted 100S bulkheads 100% dimensional copy of EVV 106

The engine of this Healey feels truly as motorsport impressive as an original 100S racer. A 300 degree camshaft provides usable power from 1500 to around 6500 rpm making it easy to drive in traffic but an absolute blast on a back road. Twin Weber carburettors, a steel crankshaft, a modified sump, rocker cover, distributor and more make this a very high specification engine build suitable compete with original 100S racing cars and in hill climb should you wish.

This is a very flexible car, FIA registered (first in 2011, renewal required) and ready to go should you wish to race it with a removable roll cage (the car has previously competed in hill climbs winning a few very notable events). The car has a aluminium fuel tank with dual take off, a brake bias valve and extremely grippy but still road legal Kuhmo tyres.

This is a unique proposition not to be missed by anyone who wants some 50s grade motorsport and gentleman racer drive it to the circuit and have a blast fun. Available for a quarter of the price of an original car (or less in some cases) and at significantly less cost than it would be to build one today.

Sold with FIA Historical Technical Passport 2011, restoration documentation, build breakdown, photographic restoration documentation, British Motor Heritage Certificate and 100S literature.
