A beautiful unmolested 1937 MODEL 85 V8, and rare in Right Hand Drive.
One of two right hand drive models known to me in the UK, so rare.
Fitted with a fully rebuilt better 24 stud flathead engine.
Built in Canada and exported to South Africa. Imported to the UK in 2002, when it was restored to a high standard for a collection, including the lovely paint job in the original colours of blue and black.
The truck recently had uprated water pumps and rebuilt radiator, rebuilt fuel system with electric pump and rebuilt carb, rebuilt ignition system & a new battery.
The lighting system was uprated and includes flashing indicators, conversion to 12 volt with Powergen alternator and 12 volt instruments.
The speedo is a car one, which reads accurately, but is calibrated 10 MPH slow. The original 6 volt instruments are still in place, but not working.
This truck drives really well, and has completed a 200 mile trip on the hottest day of 2022 to and from the Old Ford Rally at Gaydon with no problems.
