The example offered here belongs to a Sydney enthusiast with a real affinity for the GT-Fours and is in strong cosmetic and mechanical condition throughout. Only available in red, white or black the previous owner treated the Celica to a decent repaint in dark blue metallic, a colour that really suits the shape, and the appearance has been further enhanced with a set of TRD 15-inch alloys.
Showing just under 150, 000 kms on the clock, the car is largely standard apart from a boost gauge and shows very little wear inside - the dash and plastics are all in good condition, while the steering wheel and driver’s seat bolsters present well. Currently registered on non-transferable club plates, the Celica will be sold unregistered.
The ST165 was Toyota’s first Celica-based homologation special and spawned a long line of successful rally cars, including the ST185 and ST205 models.
