Selling my much loved Bedford TK. I've lived in it for the past 18 months and have now moved to a house for practical family reasons. I've lived in a beautiful field and not travelled far with it but run it regularly to charge the batteries and to keep things moving, it's flown through the last two MOTs (Plating) without any work needed. It's a great vehicle to drive - it does feel good to get in and start the thing, let the air brakes off and off you go. Starts always, even through the coldest days of this last winter (except for one morning when it was minus 9, didn't start then).
The stove is excellent, burns wood and solid fuel and has kept me and my kids warm without fail. I did most of the cooking on the stove top but the gas hob and grill do everything else - the stove does excellent espresso and I've got a way of baking creme brulee on the two gas rings as well - the baking tray's included - it does have it's simple luxuries.
The back opens and propped up to level, makes a good space to have meals and socialize as the sun goes down, and long after with the stove turned up anytime of the year.
It's got just under 67, 000 on the clock, this is genuine as far as I know, only have a certain amount of history but the cab seats are original and are as new. It's got the 3. 5lt diesel engine with 4 speed box. The engine sounds very relaxed and much admired by the mechanic who takes it for the MOT. Can be driven on a normal license (if passed before '97 i think). It has a starter battery and one leisure. The gas bottle is mounted underneath and takes seconds to change though I only used two a year, and that's using the cooker everyday, spent less than £40 in the year for gas. Also has a portable suitcase 2oookw generator thats quiet and can just sit under the truck, I used it to run the computer and the slow cooker and the hoover - it's comes with the slow cooker. And the hoover. (I'll knock some off the price if you don't need the generator)
The bed's massive and over the cab (see pics) and I've made the settee flat for another bed, as well as storage underneath.
The truck's located near Stafford.
More photos available on the following link below. Including a couple at the end that show some rot on part of the o/ s wheel arch and just above the cab step on the same side. Really nothing to worry about and didn't get an advisory in the recent MOT. The truck's 29 years old and the outside has reasonable wear & tear and would benefit from some TLC but overall is in good condition for it's age. It's a good truck. I left the outside to look as horsebox like as possible, looks natural in the corner of a field and doesn't draw attention.
