Description
Magnificent replica of the Porsche 356 Speedster built by APAL on a 1973 chassis. The collector's registration card is French and states "Roadster C" / CABR for Cabriolet and 2-seater, so it is perfectly roadworthy. Apal is a Belgian manufacturer specialising in the construction of fibreglass vehicles. The 356 Speedster was produced under licence from Intermeccanica, the Canadian manufacturer well known for having produced this model.
This car comes from a private collection in Normandy, mainly made up of Stuttgart models, and has been on the roads of Normandy for some fifteen years. The exterior paintwork looks very good, as do the fittings and chrome. The 'classics' bucket seats are very comfortable and have a homogenous patina, giving the interior a very charming ambience. The steering wheel has piano strings and the on-board instrumentation complies with the standards, combined with the indispensable vintage radio. The soft top and side-screens are also present. The engine has less than 1, 000 km and will be replaced as new in 2020. In short, this is a car that is just waiting to be taken out on the open road to take full advantage of the alternative routes, with the charm and curves of a speedster that leaves no one indifferent as it passes by.
