The Villiers Starmaker engine was introduced in 1963 as a complete engine/ gearbox unit designed for racing
Initially designed for 'scrambling' but later was developed for road-racing
This road-racing unit was used in a Cotton Telstar and is fitted with the 6-speed transmission
Fitted with TZ pistons and con rods
Clutch primary side converted to toothed belt
Motoplat ignition and Amal 2 concentric carb
