Desirable three-door example
In 2008 Ford, in conjunction with Mountune Racing, unveiled a power upgrade kit that raised the power output to 260 bhp (190 kW), and the ST-3 was launched, receiving a facelift featuring wider headlights, a wide, trapezoidal grille on the lower side of the bumper, and a diffuser with two exhausts placed on the outer sides. Ford's designers installed flared arches endowing the five-door hot hatch with a bit more muscle and emphasised the sporty character with an ST-specific roof spoiler on top of the tailgate. With refined, five-cylinder turbo power and exceptional traction/ handling, it soon became the best hot hatch of the day
The ST-3 offered was manufactured in 2008, being supplied new by Ford agents Dagenham Motors of Barking, Essex, and registered new on the 21st of October that year. Finished in White with Black leather Recaro interior upholstery, the Focus features air-conditioning, heated seats, and a Sony sound system. Offered now having covered a modest mileage from new of just 76, 000 miles, the vendor notes that the car is an ‘excellent driving’ car and is one of the more desirable three-door examples. Supplied with the original stamped service book that illustrates nine service stamps (including PDI), the majority being from Ford main agents. The most recent service, a major one, was completed in August last year at 76, 153 miles. A nice clean example, of what will surely be a collectable Fast Ford of the future.
