Registered new in Germany in March 1976, this lefthand drive 911 was used regularly until 1980 when the owner passed away and his spouse had it stored until 1997 when it was sold and imported in to the UK. It went to Greece in 2006 and was apparently owned by the ex-Prime Minister of Greece at one time before returning to the UK in 2010. The current owner acquired it in 2012, using it sparingly during his tenure.
The speedo reading of 92, 000 kilometres is believed correct and tallies with the Service book, MOT certificates and invoices.
This is a narrow bodied, 2. 7 litre car, with Cookie Cutter alloy wheels and no sunroof. The interior appears original and is virtually unworn, and the bodywork is very clean and straight.
A large service, which included a new petrol tank and a rebuild of the fuel injection system was carried out by the a Porsche specialist 500 miles ago, and there are some items that the the next owner may want to attend to going forward as and when enthusiasm and funds allow.
The 911 has mellowed nicely and has not been restored. It drives very well and would be a joy to use regularly.
