Peugeot 203 C from 1959 I am its 4th owner and have owned it for 13 years. The history is well known. The car is in a magnificent state of preservation, no camouflage with new paint. On the contrary, here you have a vehicle in original condition, extremely well preserved. You can see some traces of time which gives it all its charm. The upholstery for example is not in very good condition. The car has been well maintained for these 13 years.
The engine was recently removed for a major overhaul:
- Compression tap - engine, gearbox and axle drained - engine and parts cleaned and painted - connecting rod bearings and crankshaft checked - timing chain replaced - all engine seals replaced - ignition rebuilt to new - valves adjusted - engine bay cleaned - clutch and thrust bearing replaced - new fuel filter and oil filter - carburettor rebuilt and adjusted - paper gasket and axle spinnaker gasket replaced (right-hand axle, left-hand axle still in good condition) - brake light switch replaced.
- the brakes were changed to silicon brake fluid a few years ago. the 4 shock absorbers were also replaced in a standard exchange. 4 tyres are practically new. In short, this is a car made for driving without wondering whether it will break down or not. It runs regularly and is very reliable. You can put it on a bridge to see the underside.
