As one of the worlds best selling sports cars and a personal favourite of us here at Fairmont, we are aware that there have been many reincarnations of the MX-5. Some, particularly the UK official models were renamed from what was often the same specification car. But on occasions, Japan would deliver to their home-grown market extra special and unique models that only they and the US had, this vehicle is one of those - and is hot!
It is one of the first MX-5’s (named roadster in Japan) to be fitted with the lightweight and award-winning retractable hardtop.
Also, the RS RHT comes with many driver focused upgrades including the fantastic BBS forged 17” wheels, blitz coilover suspension, upgraded exhaust system, rear camera and on the inside different dash and dial layout, and the best of all leather and Alcantara trimmed Recaro sport seats.
We are not finished yet; this car was factory ordered with the optional R package which we can see has a modified front bumper and rear diffuser and we think wider wheel arches.
Without a doubt the best MX-5 visually and with 170bhp with a lightweight of 1100kg’s it is a fantastic driving experience, it’s unlikely you will ever see another one, we look forward to hearing from you.
