HISTORY The TD was a striking evolution in comfort compared to the previous models: independent suspension, rack and pinion steering. The famous XPAG 1250 cc engine, robust and torquey "we very often drive in 4th gear", together with a precise 4-speed gearbox, provided a sporty and fun driving sensation! A lot of character for this car, a look straight out of the pre-war era! TECHNICAL Restoration from the chassis around 2010 Oil cooler - Alternator in dynamo body 123 electronic ignition, (original supplied) 5 chromed wire wheels, + the 5 original rims in the packaging! 5 white sidewall tyres, close to new. Long-range headlights - Stainless steel exhaust/ silencer line. Original interior rear-view mirror and 2 period side-view mirrors, new. New brake system: master cylinder, wheel cylinders, hoses and shoes. Silicone brake fluid - Silent engine block, steering and suspension: new. New water pump - Replaced wiring harness.
7-blade fan (original supplied). Dashboard with exceptional plating (see photos). Original instruments in perfect working order. Chromed luggage rack to be fitted - Original steering wheel. Battery switch accessible from the driver's seat - Very nice black paintwork!
Soft-top and soft-top cover close to new. Oil pressure, hot and cold, perfectly compliant. Water temperature, idem - Compression idem, hot and cold. Top carburettor settings, ignition, rocker arms - No heating problems. Perfect idle, quarter-turn start, no gaps on acceleration. Can be driven on the road, whatever the distance.
