L’atelier des 1000 presents for sale this Renault Goélette Torpédo 4X4 type R2087.
This military truck, whose reputation speaks for itself, is powered by an engine from the Frégate and was used at the time for the Algerian War, where it was designed for troop transport and could move 12 men.
It has been declassified and is therefore usable with a standard Category B licence.
The example we offer was registered on 09/ 12/ 1963 and later civilised in 1997. It was fully refurbished by the military services before its civilian sale.
The paintwork was redone a few years ago and presents well.
The undercarriages are sound and the chassis free from perforating corrosion.
The front upholstery needs doing, however the waxed canvas cover is in good condition.
The steering wheel is in good condition and the instrumentation is functional.
Its period accessories are supplied such as the pickaxe and the jerrycan.
Mechanically the car starts easily, with no noise or smoke and has its full power.
The gearbox shifts well and does not bind. The transfer box works correctly.
The engine does not overheat; it recently completed a 2-hour journey without issues.
Regarding the running gear, the steering is lighter than we might imagine.
The tyres are in good condition.
