1962 Ford Zephyr Zodiac MK2 in two tone Trafalgar Blue over Ford Ivory with blue leather interior.
Very much emulating the American car styling of the era but in a more sensibly sized package, the Zodiac cuts a real dash in its two-tone paint with a generous helping of brightwork.
The car comes with its original , transferable number .
This car is is good condition throughout and drives very well .
The paintwork is an older respray and polishes up well enough to grace any show field . The original chrome is very good for one of these with gentle patination, the door handles having some minor pitting but the front and rear screen surrounds and the wheel trims being particularly nice.
The interior is excellent and presents very well. The inviting looking leather bench seats were retrimmed in 2011, when it was also treated to a new carpet set, and more recently new door cards have been fitted. The mini-Americana theme continues with the dash, adorned with lashings of polished metal and chrome. Finding trim for these cars can be difficult but everything appears to be there, including a period radio and a charming Harry Moss cassette player, both of which are functional.
The boot is clean and the spare wheel present.
The cars last owner spent over £4, 500 on maintenance and improvements during his ownership , which included the following work :
New rebuilt water pump and gasket
New radiator top and bottom hoses
Oil change (classic 20w 50), filter, sump and associated gaskets
Oil pump cleaned and serviced
New door cards
New rear screen rubber fitted
Paintwork to roof and blue sides above the mid chrome line

Check and top up oil in differential and gearbox
Replace heater matrix (DMF Worcester)
New seatbelt mounting plates to door pillars
Checked and adjusted tracking (Mintro / Padmore Garage)

The car comes with V5C, current MOT, a comprehensive and large folder of invoices, photographs taken at various stages of its respray / retrim and some general Zodiac information.
There is also a small collection of spare parts in the boot.
