Description
This Lotus Elise S1 is a true Type 49 and above all a genuine original LHD. (Type 49 = same bodywork and finish as the S). Its decoration is a tribute to Graham Hill's victory in the 1968 Formula 1 World Championship, with the type 49B. It was delivered in 2000 to Alvan Motors in Belgium. I own its complete and new box, with the Lotus certificate of origin. It is the 24th of 31 LHD produced in Hetel. It has the original option, Hard Top Lotus. This means that the interior is very cleanly trimmed (the remanufactured ones are bare of fibreglass). The Sof-Top is in excellent condition and will be sold with its original black and red steering wheel. In addition to the one installed (an RRS), on a Quick Release, so that it can be removed to get in and out of the car easily. (My car has 64, 000 kms on the clock, has a clean MOT and has a fully completed service book.
It was bought from Bauden Racing, who in April 2024 carried out the following work for me (61, 000 kms). New aluminium radiator, aero-quip brake hoses, Hurricane intake, Quick Release and RRS steering wheel, 4 Yokohama AD 08 RS tyres. Then it was serviced at 111 Motorsport in Colomars 06. In July 2024 they changed the timing belt. Completely rebuilt the cylinder head (metrology, valve stem seals, reinforced cylinder head screws, aluminium damper pulleys, camshaft pulleys, etc....) distributor igniter, ignition pin, spark plugs. Alu 52mm throttle, Decata... Dyno tuning with Emerald in the car. 155 bhp.
All fluids and cooling reservoir. At 111 Motorsport in February 2025. New headlight bubbles and steering bellows. At MVR in Tourettes in March 2025, complete polishing and shining of the paintwork This car is a real collector's item and runs perfectly and goes any distance.
