Auto Storica is pleased to announce the Lamborghini Urraco P200 4-seater with rear engine. This was the Urraco, the first and only Lamborghini to benefit from such an exotic mechanical layout. Born in response to the Dino 308 GT4, the Maserati Merak or the Porsche 911, the new bull was given the name given to bulls with spotted fur, just like magpies. The unit we are offering today is the rare P200 version, built exclusively for the Italian market, seeking to avoid the taxes levied on cars over 2000 cc.
Thus, between the rear seats and the boot lies a V8 of just 1994 cc, capable of producing 185 bhp at a thrilling 7, 500 rpm. Its pronounced wedge-shaped design, created by Bertone master Marcello Gandini, and its light weight meant that, despite its power, it easily exceeded 210 km/ h. It's not the most powerful Lamborghini ever built, but it's one of the rarest. And only 66 examples of this exotic P200 have ever left the Sant'Agata factory.
