Description
THE Triumph 1300 was a quirky compact saloon of the 1960s. It was a fwd car that kind of morphed into the Toledo and then the Dolomite. A nippy little thing with a lovely interior, it was considered to be a luxurious small family saloon. Not many left on the UK roads now!
This little gem has been much loved and, in recent years has undergone way too much work to be mentioned here. But just touching on a few things: New clutch, new timing chain, new rotoflex couplings, brake pipes throughout, carpets, light clusters, ball joints, sub frame bushes and mounts, all corrosion cut out prior to painting, rebuilt carb, new headlining and re-trimmed seats to correct spec for the car.
And then last year, shortly before being sold at a classic car auction house for £4500, it was given another thorough going over at the well respected Willow Triumph Ltd of Darlington for the sum of £579.
A real little cutey is this Triumph and in that shade of light blue that always suited it so well. On the key and ready for its new owner.
There is also a photo album featuring a lot of the work done back in 2021 and in here you can see excellent shots of the car's excellent underneath as it lies upside down on a jig.
Not to be missed at £3995. You don't get a lot of classic for that money these days. And, to be honest, this is a lot of classic!
