THIS DELIGHTFUL 1979 Ford Granada 2. 8 Ghia is bright red. Yes, as red as a red tomato. Apologies for my photos taken today. I do struggle when it comes to the shade of red!
Anyway, the story in brief: A '79 Granada 2. 8 V6 Ghia was dry stored in 1987 with 35, 000 miles on the clock. It had been with just two owners from new although, looking at the dates, the first owner was very probably the supplying dealer. And there it stayed until 2016 when it re-appeared. The old girl had fallen off the DVLA radar while in hibernation and so the new owner remedied that via paperwork and photos which are here as evidence re the car's history. It was TOTALLY original and was very quickly granted its new V5. It then remained with him until this year. And the mileage? It still reads 35, 000.
What a delightful example. Sweet engine, superb interior, excellent body and paint and strong underneath. Great boot floor too, all original in body colour. Electric windows not working. These Granada Mark 2s are mega cool cars these days and you realise - or in my case remember - just what a car they were back in the day. Auto box and power steering.
