Description
BMW 320i BAUR' 'export' (Sweden), originally fitted with a 4-cylinder M10B18 K-Jetronic (105 hp) with EGR as for USA models from 1979. Its colour combination is unusual: Ext: Balticblau (only offered in 1982) Int: light blue houndstooth fabric, blue soft top.
All these parameters make this an extremely rare example among the 4, 595 Baur TC1s produced!
It is in remarkable condition for its age, with near-perfect bodywork and paintwork, chrome, interior and soft top.
On the mechanical side, here are the items recently serviced: - Engine and axlebox oil changes - Ignition replacement (spark plugs, wiring harness, electronic module and pulse generator) - Replacement of the 4 injectors and fuel filter - Brake overhaul (front brake pads, rear wheel linings and cylinders, complete bleeding) This car is really very pleasant to drive. More responsive at low revs than a 320/ 6 and, above all, it consumes less fuel: around 8. 7 litres in mixed driving (with or without bonnet) compared with 11 to 13 litres for a 320/ 6 in line. 30, 000 km driven in 7 years, currently used daily, mileage evolving. Similar convertibles: BMW Baur 2002 and E30 TC2, Opel Kadett Aéro, Triumph Stag. Lancia Beta Spider, Porsche 911 Targa
