This Example has just arrived with us as part of a small collection of Rover cars we have taken as part exchange on another classic
It comes with a fairly substantial history file containing many old mots, tax discs, repair invoices and much other paperwork. It has the 2100cc six cylinder engine that sounds very well with consistent oil pressure and temperature. There is a bill in the file from earlier this year for engine service items and several gaskets. The engine is clean and tidy and looks well looked after.
The interior can really be described as original! If all new and immaculate is your thing, then this is not the car. The carpets show their age as do the seats and door panels. No damage as such, just aged patina. The headlining again is original and has staining in a couple of areas and the sunroof panel is generally tatty, although it’s not detached or anything. All garages and switch are present and working correctly.
Bodywork on the whole is very good. It has been painted at some point, but I would say it would have been some time ago. There is a small area of paint cracking on one front wing and some bubbling just started on a couple of door bottoms (although you have to get down and look)
I have just been out on a short road test and it performed well and the engine starts willingly from hot or cold
So basically a tidy Rover, that can be used as is or improve, but in our opinion would be best left original (obviously buyers preference)
