The Land Rover Defender traces its roots back to the original Land Rover of 1948. However, the Defender name only emerged in 1990 out of a need to distinguish this model from the Solihull brand's new products.
In total, over 68 years, more than 2 million “Defender” vehicles were manufactured, taking on all types of shapes and functions and being used by Kings, Queens, Farmers, Firefighters, Police and Soldiers.
In terms of comfort, this version benefits from a new, modern dashboard and substantially improved on-board soundproofing, which is particularly noticeable on longer journeys. It features a modern, smooth Ford 2. 4 Common Rail engine coupled to a pleasant 6-speed gearbox, which provides excellent fuel consumption.
This Defender 90 “Puma” from June 2011 was purchased at the Land Rover dealership in Caniço, Madeira. It has 62, 000 km and was recently restored in the “restomod” style. The bodywork was completely restored and painted in metallic yellow, which contrasts well with the black hood and brown leather upholstery. It also has new GoodYear Wrangler tires, black bumpers and moldings, and the classic black grille.
