Wolseley 6/ 80’s were introduced by the Nuffield group in 1948 and were produced up until 1954. The 6/ 80 is well remembered for being a popular police car and featured in many films of the 1950’s. Although Wolseley had already become well integrated into the Nuffield organisation, this model along with the Morris Six utilised a 6-cylinder 2215cc OHC engine which had design cues from prewar Wolseley designs.
Information from a previous owner advised that the car was found in a barn in 1964 following which 4 new wings and new cills were fitted, new radiator and an engine rebuild undertaken following which a bare metal respray was done.
The car starts easily, runs well, has a good and precise gearchange. Our vendor has run out of storage space hence the sale. A workshop manual and parts list are included.
