Following the renewal of my collection, I'm parting with my Renault R16 TL, type R1152, dated 30 November 1973, which is in superb condition. Originating from the south of France, the car has been preserved from damp, making it a very healthy car today... Let's take a quick "tour du propriétaire" to describe it as well as possible...
As far as the bodywork is concerned, the car is in very good condition and very sound... In order to restore it to its former glory, a complete paint job was carried out on it last year, a quality paint job, carried out on the bodywork and in its original colour. There is not the slightest scratch, dent or pock mark on it!... From a mechanical point of view, there's nothing to worry about, and she's ready to hit the road... With only 54, 000 km on the clock, her mechanics have just been completely overhauled...
So that its future owner can enjoy it without delay, a whole host of work has just been carried out on it, including changing the engine and gearbox, new brakes, new tyres, new belts, new gearbox fillers, new bearings, new suspension ball joints, new fuel hoses, dismantling and cleaning the fuel tank, replacing the fuel hoses, etc. In short, all that's left to do is enjoy it. As for the interior, there were no tears or signs of wear on the upholstery, although the sun of southern France did leave a few marks on the dashboard, which were not serious (slight wear due to the sun)...
It's important to point out that the R16's health (jack supports, rear axle mountings) is in excellent condition, as shown in the photos. To sum up, this beautiful R16 deserves to be seen by anyone who is passionate about the diamond-shaped marque, the R16 or simply someone who is nostalgic for the 70s and appreciates old cars...
Although in excellent condition, as is often the case, there are of course minor improvements that could be made... That said, this is a particularly comfortable car, very pleasant to drive with its very smooth gearbox, it's really top notch! It will be the ideal partner for taking your family or friends out for a drive, when the weather is fine. What's more, the R16 is one of those classic cars that you just have to have in your garage one day, it's a mythical car from the 70's... Don't hesitate to come and see it and test drive it, it's worth the diversions. It can be seen in the Liège region (Belgium). Delivery possible throughout France and neighbouring countries.
