Husqvarna was founded near the town Huskvarna, Sweden, in 1689 with the company starting out as a manufacturer of muskets and their logo still depicts a gun sight viewed from the end of the barrel. As with many motorcycle manufacturers, Husqvarna first began producing bicycles in the late 19th century but by 1903 they had begun manufacturing powered two-wheelers. By the 1970s they were mainly known for their off-road bikes, popular in Motocross and Enduro events. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Husqvarna was a dominant force in the motocross world, winning 14 motocross world championships in the 125cc, 250cc and 500cc divisions, 24 Enduro world championships and 11 Baja 1000 victories. Probably their best known model is the CR450 of the early 1970s, a firebreathing two-stroke ridden to world championship glory by Bengt Aberg and Heikki Mikkola and famously by Steve McQueen in 'On Any Sunday' (1971).
Said to be in excellent condition with just 161 miles recorded, there is strong evidence that this 2015 Husqvarna FE 450 was used on the film set of the 5th 'Bourne' instalment with Matt Damon, Jason Bourne (2016). It is believed to be the Greek police machine that 'Bourne' himself rode through a riot in Athens. It was apparently one of a number of machines used on the movie and is identified by a handwritten ‘JB Stunt Hero Bike 1’ marking under the seat. Apparently the ‘police lamp’ was superficially damaged on a shoot involving Bourne being pursued in a chase scene, it was fitted with replacement body panelling prior to release (vendor advises some ‘original’ panels included in the sale. Modified with front blue police lights, a rear police light stand that was damaged for the production, rear carrying case, and one pannier. It features a white body decorated with Greek police decals, including their emblem on the pannier; a pair of spare panniers with an undamaged police light stand; and a spare front vent cover. Offered with original book pack including sales literature and owner's handbook and filmetc. it represents a unique opportunity to own a small piece of movie history which is ready to be ridden and enjoyed or displayed with a suitable backdrop!’
H&H are indebted to the vendor for the below information:-
Jason Bourne's (Matt Damon) Greek police motorcycle from Paul Greengrass' action-thriller sequel Jason Bourne. Bourne rode this motorcycle through a riot in Athens, after stealing it from a police officer. He then used it to fight off police and The Asset (Vincent Cassel), before rescuing Nicky (Julia Stiles).
The motorcycle is a 2015 Husqvarna FE 450 modified with front blue police lights, a rear police light stand that was damaged for the production, a rear carrying case, and one pannier. It features a white body decorated with Greek police decals, including their emblem on the pannier; a pair of spare panniers with an undamaged police light stand; and a spare front vent cover. The motorcycle also displays a handwritten label in front of the seat reading "JB stunt hero bike 1" and comes with the UK licence plate "HS15 EVW". It has a 449. 3 cc 1-cylinder 4-stroke engine, is powered by unleaded petrol and its VIN number is VBKUAA401FM362384.
